Looking for the Cheapest Spinal Decompression? Read This First

When it comes to your spinal health, cheaper isn’t always better.  At Disc Repair Clinic, located inside Fairway Chiropractic Centre in Kitchener, we’re proud to offer excellent and personalized Spinal Decompression care in the region — and yes, we’re also expensive.

But before you scroll past, ask yourself: What’s the cost of getting it wrong when it comes to your spine?

Here’s Why Our Care Is Worth It:

1. We Are Dedicated to You Achieving Results

That is why we do the following:

  • Detailed Assessments

      • This ensures that we only choose those who are good candidates for a successful resolution of their spinal condition. It is not just a trial and error!
      • Our success rate is over 90%.
  • Patient Education

We mentor you until you have full confidence in your spine

  • Spinal Decompression is only 1 part of your healing journey
      • Discern the habits that have caused you to be in your current condition, and learn the steps to make certain this problem does not return!
      • Most people have developed their spinal injury from repetitive poor habits without even realising it. One day, they bend over to pick up a pen, and their back goes out on them!  The reality is that their back had been a ticking time bomb for some time. Their back seized on them in full spasm, just like the last straw that broke the camel’s back.
  • We teach you what exercises to do and which ones to avoid
      • You’d be amazed how many “back exercises” are prescribed by people who are, in fact, making their condition worse!
      • Dr. Nik has been working with Disc herniation-related injuries for almost 2 decades now.  Has extensive training and learning from world-renowned: Professor Stuart McGill,  Vladimir Janda, and Kelly Starret, to name a few.
  • We provide ongoing support for months to come
    • You have the ability to communicate with Dr. Nik via text messaging and phone calls — not just when you are in the office. And not only during your “treatment plan”. Dr. Nik truly wants you to recover and thrive. This means you need to have the ability to lean on someone to guide you through for many months after your Spinal Decompression Therapy is completed.

2. We Use the Gold Standard in Spinal Decompression Technology — SpineMed

Many clinics use outdated or traction-based systems. We’ve invested in SpineMed® Spinal Decompression, a medically advanced, non-surgical system specifically engineered to target disc herniations and degeneration. It’s FDA-cleared, research-backed, and designed for maximum disc healing with minimum discomfort.

It is used by 100s of Orthopedic Surgeons in Europe who have successfully avoided performing surgery on their patients for disc herniation and spinal stenosis. (Germany alone has over 100 orthopedic surgeons owning and operating SpineMed Spinal Decompression Tables)

A nice bonus is that the table is made right here in Canada!

Note-worthy History of SpineMed Spinal Decompression Tables:

The creator and owner of SpineMed is Canadian, from Prince Rupert, British Columbia. He was trained in Spinal Decompression Therapy several decades ago by an orthopedic surgeon who created the original spinal decompression table. He worked with the surgeon for years. Then, he went on to work for 2 other new competitors — one after the other.  After seeing firsthand the pros and cons of each table, he decided to create his very own Spinal Decompression Table, which took the best of all he’s learned while getting rid of the bad.  The SpineMed Spinal Decompression table is a true boon for chiropractic care.

3. We Have an Experienced Practitioner

Our service is not just about the decompression table. The person directing your recovery is the critical factor.

Imagine for a minute you need spinal surgery (some of you reading this may have already had surgery, and many of you reading this right now have been told it’s your only option — but you’re searching for others nonetheless.  Who would you rather choose to do the surgery:  the surgeon with 2 years of experience or the one who’s been at it for almost 2 decades and has seen all sorts of spinal conditions over the years?

Dr. Nik has been working with disc herniation-related injuries for almost 2 decades now; has extensive training and learning from world-renowned: Professor Stuart McGill,  Dr. Vladimir Janda (via his successors), Kelly Starret, Dr. Heidi Haavik, and Dr. James Chestnut, to name a few.

Dr. Nik’s success rate is over 90% — with “success” being defined as the patient’s self-perceived complete return to activities prior to the disc injury and return to a thriving life again.  Also, note that we have never received reports about any complications where people were made to be worse off. Compare this to surgery — where the success rate varies from 45-90% depending on what research study you read, not to mention the significant risk of complications, which is known as “Failed Back Surgery Syndrome”.

4. We Are Focused on Long-Term Results

This is a Key Differentiator between us and many others that provide spinal decompression therapy — even some others who use the same decompression table as we do.

This is why we don’t let people “come and try” Spinal Decompression for just a few visits. If you are one of the lucky ones, you will notice a slight be of improvement in the first few sessions; however, many do not feel any sign of improvement until the 15th visit.

Have a read of this!….

Orthopedic Surgeons (in Germany, particularly) have taken MRIs of their patients’ spine prior to commencing spinal decompression with the SpineMed table. Once their patient said their back was feeling fantastic, the Surgeon ordered a comparison MRI to see if the disc herniation was reversed. They found that in most cases it had not! So they advised the patient to continue with spinal decompression therapy despite feeling better, in order to reverse the disc injury and therefore have long-lasting results. Here’s what they found: that to see a reversal of the disc herniation on MRI, most people need 25 sessions of spinal decompression therapy.

It is for this reason that we make it a minimum requirement to have 25 sessions of spinal decompression therapy.

Let’s say you go through all of this treatment, reverse your disc herniation, feel fantastic again, BUT YOU DON’T CHANGE THE HABITS THAT CAUSED THE DISC HERNIATION IN THE FIRST PLACE — WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL LIKELY HAPPEN?

Of course, a new disc herniation will develop!

This is why we integrate corrective exercises, lifestyle coaching (improving your posture and movement habits, as well as your dietary habits) alongside decompression to help you get lasting results — not temporary relief.

We Treat You Like Family

5. We Treat You Like Family

This is one of our biggest values — caring for others as we would like to be cared for ourselves and our close family members.

What does that look like?

  • It means taking the time to address all of your concerns.
  • It means being available for discussions/text messaging outside of business hours.
  • It means praying for you daily (and in person for those who are open to this)

Disc Injuries affect your life hard!  Not only your life, but those you love most around you too! It adds lots of mental/emotional stress to you.  We understand this.  That’s why we do everything in our power to get you back to having a resilient spine so that you can thrive again and do what God put you on this earth to do.

6. We Have a Proven Track Record!

We have several success stories from those not too shy to be in front of a camera 🙂

Not only that,

We have many patients who have volunteered to speak with anyone considering Spinal Decompression Therapy. We know that this is a big investment and that it’s a big decision. Speaking to someone who has walked through your shoes is invaluable! Just let us know if you’d like this opportunity, and we’ll make it happen.

As you can see:

There’s More to Your Back Pain Relief Success Than Just Being on a Spinal Decompression Table.

We customize your care plan based on your condition, not a cookie-cutter plan. That includes one-on-one provider attention, personalized progress tracking, and ongoing reassessment to make sure you’re actually healing — not just going through the motions.
