During a SpineMED® spinal decompression session, you’ll lie comfortably on the table while gentle, controlled cycles of traction and relaxation are applied to your spine. Unlike traditional traction, most patients feel little to no sensation. This is intentional to prevent muscle spasms and allow for optimal decompression.

Each 30-minute session consists of 20 cycles of gentle traction and relaxation, with a monitor displaying the process – so you can know every step of the way what is happening to your spine. Many patients find the experience so relaxing that they even fall asleep! You should never feel increased pain. If you do, the technician will adjust the settings.

Each treatment session lasts 30 minutes, and the expert-recommended number of sessions is 25 to achieve full results. Based on clinical experience and research, 25 sessions are necessary to effectively reverse disc herniation. Typically, you will attend 3 sessions per week, completing the full program in just over 8 weeks for optimal recovery.

However, if you’re looking to accelerate your treatment, it’s possible to schedule 2 sessions per day, which would allow you to complete the program in as little as 12 days (on weekdays only).

No, the treatment is not supposed to cause any pain or discomfort. If you experience any increase in pain, it’s important to notify the technician immediately. They will pause the therapy and adjust the tension to a level where you feel no pain at all. The goal is for you to feel comfortable and relaxed during each session.

If you’ve tried various treatments like chiropractic care, physiotherapy, osteopathy, massage, or cortisone injections without relief, SpineMED® decompression therapy is worth considering. It’s a non-surgical, drug-free solution for individuals suffering from conditions such as:

You are not a candidate for SpineMED® treatment if you have any of the following conditions:

• Instabilities of the spine (e.g., recent fractures)
• Bilateral pars defects
• Severe osteoporosis
• Cancers or tumors of the spine
• Surgical hardware fixation (pins, screws, rods, etc.) in the targeted spinal region
• Pregnancy
• Age under 15

Post-surgical patients are not automatically ineligible unless they have surgical hardware fixation in the area being treated. In fact, individuals with failed back surgery may benefit from SpineMED® treatment.

Some individuals experience positive changes as early as their first 5 sessions. However, most people begin to notice significant improvements in pain and function after around 15 sessions. To achieve long-term relief and resolution of symptoms, 25 sessions are required. Each session has a cumulative healing effect, which is why it’s important to commit to a minimum of 3 sessions per week to see the best results. Note that healing continues to take place beyond the 25 sessions. And many individuals’ symptoms such as numbness/tingling or drop-foot continues to improve over the coming months following the treatment program. This is because now that the pressure is off the nerve, the nerve can finally breathe and heal – which takes time.

The cost for 25 sessions of SpineMED® treatment ranges from $5000 to $5375, depending on the payment option you choose.

1. One Payment Option:

• Total: $5,000 for 25 sessions at $200 per session.
• Payment is due on the day of your first treatment.
• This allows you to schedule your sessions at the speed that works best for you (3 sessions per week or up to 2 sessions per day).

2. Two Monthly Payments Option:

• Payment #1: $3,000 due on the day of your first treatment.
• Payment #2: $2,375 due one month after your first treatment.
• Total: $5,375 for 25 sessions at $215 per session.
• This option allows you to come in at a speed of 3 sessions per week.

Additionally, there is no risk involved. You can terminate the contract at any time and be refunded any unused balance.

Insurance coverage for spinal decompression therapy varies depending on your provider and policy. Some insurance plans may cover a portion of the treatment, especially if it’s deemed medically necessary. We understand that this is not a light commitment.
